Workflow template

A workflow template is a built-in pack of stages, roles, service windows, transitions and approval points. Tasked ships sixteen: five video packs, ten profession packs, and a generic fallback so a software project cannot silently inherit a commercial board.

The packs are a starting point. Stages, owners, windows and approval points are data on the project's workflow, not fixed code. A studio can change them after the project exists.

Fifteen of the packs are marketed as templates. Generic is the fallback when a named template is gone, and it is profession-neutral on purpose.

Questions that keep coming up

Can I change a pack after I use it?
Yes. The pack is copied onto the project as a workflow definition. Changing it later is changing that project's data.
What is the generic pack for?
It is the fallback when a project names a template that is gone, so a software team cannot silently get a commercial video board.
Do packs include automations?
Packs include stages, tasks, conditions and approvals. Automations are rules you write as sentences, from the Professional plan.
