Portal door

A portal door is how someone outside the workspace sees work and decides, without an account and without a seat. It is a code, a link, a phone number that receives a one-time code, or an email address, with permissions the workspace chose.

Through a door a person can watch, leave notes, upload, download, and press approve, reject or request changes, according to what that door allows. A door can be scoped to one project or to everything that client has, and it can be view-only.

Doors expire on a date and can be revoked. There is no per-person charge. Clients and approvers are not members. Plans are priced per workspace by active projects, storage and members.

Questions that keep coming up

Does the client install anything?
No. They open the door in the browser.
Can a door be taken back?
Yes. It can be revoked at any time, and it expires on the date the workspace set.
Is a white-label portal the same as a door?
A door is the access. A white-label portal is the Business plan feature that presents the portal in the studio's brand. The door still works without it.
