Project settings: access, workflow, components and archive

A project is organized into three tabs: Now with the stage stepper, Tasks with the board, plan and insights, and Client with Client can see file switches and portal links issued on request. Project settings opens from the gear icon for access, workflow, components and details.

Open Project settings

A project's access, workflow and components are all changed in one place, Project settings.

  1. Open the project.
  2. Click the Project settings button (the gear icon), at the top of the page beside Import.
  3. Choose a section: Access, Workflow, Components, and, if you may edit, Details.

Access: who sees the project

The Access section decides whether the project is open to Everybody in the organization or only to the People on the project, whom you add by name. When the project has a client, access can also be managed from the Client tab.

Workflow and components

The Workflow section edits the board's own stages, their SLAs and the moves between them - for this project only, unless you also choose to update the template it was created from.

The Components section groups this project's work by studio area, such as Edit, Sound or Delivery; add a component with a name, a description and a colour, and attach it to tasks.

Details, client and archive

The Details section is shown only to whoever may edit the project, and never on the organization's inbox. Name, brief, due date, status and client are saved together, and the archive button sits at the bottom of the section.

  1. In Details, choose a Client to attach the project to one, or leave No client.
  2. Click Archive project to take it off the active lists; its tasks and history stay.
  3. To bring it back, open Project settings again and click Restore as active.

Three project tabs: Now, Tasks and Client

At the top of the project sit three tabs: Now shows the workflow as a stage stepper, the client's latest decision, and the currently open work; Tasks holds the six work views (board, list, table, timeline, workload, and tasks), along with Plan and Insights; and Client shows what the client sees.

On the Client tab, project files are listed with a Client can see switch on each row. New files start internal by default, and only files with the switch turned on appear in the portal deliverables. A client portal link is issued only on request by clicking Create link, never automatically.

Häufige Fragen

Are new project files immediately shown in the client portal?
No. New files start internal. Only turning on the Client can see switch on the Client tab (or sending a version for approval) shows them in the portal.
What happens when I archive a project?
It comes off the active lists; its tasks and history stay exactly as they were, and you can restore it to active at any time.
Does changing this project's workflow change the template too?
No, unless you also choose to update the template. By default the change applies only to this project's own board.
