Approval stage
An approval stage is a workflow stage whose type is approval. When an item enters it the engine opens an approval, and the item cannot leave through the approved transition until a decision is recorded with who and when.
Work, review, approval, gate and done are the five stage types. Approval is the one that is a decision, not a colour. A rejection or a request for changes sends the item to the rework stage the workflow names.
The person who decides can be a member or someone outside the workspace who uses a portal door. The decision is written to an append-only audit log.
Najczęściej zadawane pytania
- Is an approval stage the same as a status called Approved?
- No. A status can be typed by anyone. An approval stage refuses the exit until the engine has a recorded decision.
- Can one workflow have two approval stages?
- Yes. The campaign pack runs brand review and legal review as two separate approval stages in sequence.
- Who can decide?
- The roles named on the stage, or a person who holds a door that is allowed to decide that approval.
