Timed notes and drawing on a frame
In the dark review room you pin timed notes to any frame rate, draw with pen, arrow or rectangle, compare with earlier cuts, and resolve notes. Markers appear on the timeline alongside the decision bar and the Send version to the client action.
Öppna TaskedAdd a note on a frame
A note is tied to the frame, or the range, it was written on.
- Play or scrub to the frame you mean; J K L control playback, and the arrow keys step one frame at a time.
- Press C to open a note on the current frame, or mark a loop with I and O to note a range.
- Type the note in the text box.
- Click Add note. A marker will appear on the timeline track at that exact position.
Draw on the frame and resolve
On a still or a PDF the default tool is Pin, so a click marks a point; switch to Pen, Arrow or Rectangle to actually draw. Once an issue is fixed, click resolve on the note row to close it.
- Choose a tool: Pin, Pen, Arrow or Rectangle.
- Pick a Colour from the swatch row.
- Draw on the frame - the mark saves along with the next note you send.
- After making fixes, click the resolve button on the comment row.
Compare with the earlier version
When a new version arrives, the notes on the earlier one can be checked against it and carried over.
- Click Compare with the earlier version.
- Choose Side by side or Wipe.
- Leave Still relevant checked on every note that still applies, then click Carry the selected notes.
Give the decision and send to client
The line above the buttons shows how many notes are still open - it does not block the decision, it just helps you judge whether to wait. You can also send the version directly to the client with the Send version to the client button at the top.
- Optionally, type a word about the decision in the note box.
- Click Approve, Approve with changes, or Reject.
Vanliga frågor
- Can I still add notes after a decision is given?
- Not new notes or drawing - the round becomes read-only. Every existing note stays, and can still be marked done or opened as a task.
- Who may click the decision buttons?
- Only whoever holds the approve permission. Without it the three buttons show, disabled, with the reason next to them.
- Do a still image or a PDF work the same way?
- Yes - the same notes, the same drawing and the same decision; the only difference is that the default tool is Pin, so a click marks a point.
