Account security: password, two-factor sign-in and other devices
The My account and security screen gathers three security actions: changing your password, which also signs out every other device connected to your account; turning on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app or a code sent to your phone over WhatsApp or SMS; and signing out every other connected device in one click, without touching the one you are on.

Under Password, you enter your current password and the new one twice, at least ten characters. Changing it automatically signs out every other device connected to your account, not just the one you are on, so if you suspect someone else has your old password, the change itself already shuts that door.
Turn on two-factor authentication
You can turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app or with a code sent to your phone.
- Under Two-factor authentication, click Turn on two-factor authentication and enter your current account password.
- Scan the code in an authenticator app, or type the key in by hand; or instead click Get codes on your phone instead to receive the code over WhatsApp or SMS.
- Enter the six-digit code and click Confirm and turn on.
- Save the recovery codes shown, since they are shown once, and confirm with I saved them.
Signing out other devices
Under Connected devices, one button, Sign out every other device, ends every other session on your account immediately - a phone, another browser, anywhere you forgot you were signed in - without touching the session you are using right now. Reach for it exactly when you lose a device.

- Can I get two-factor codes without an authenticator app?
- Yes. Get codes on your phone instead sends a six-digit code over WhatsApp or SMS on every sign-in, whichever you choose.
- Does changing my password sign me out of the device I am using right now?
- No. It signs out every other device; you stay signed in on the one where you changed it.
- What if I lose the device with my authenticator app?
- A recovery code saved at setup opens the account once; each code works exactly one time.
