Notification preferences: channels and quiet hours
Notification settings let you choose, for each of five topics - tasks, review, client decisions, AI proposals, and system and account - which of five channels to be told on: in-app, email, push, SMS or WhatsApp. An in-app notification always reaches the bell; quiet hours, set further down the same screen, hold back email and push during the hours you choose, without holding back the bell itself.
Åbn TaskedA card per topic and notification channels
Instead of a table, the screen presents a separate grouped card for each of the five topics: tasks, review, client decisions, AI proposals, and system and account. Each card has a row per channel with a switch: in-app, email, push, SMS and WhatsApp. An in-app notification always reaches the bell; email and push are sent in addition to it, never instead of it.
SMS and WhatsApp are channels you opt into: turning the switch on is your consent to receive transactional work alerts on them. For either to actually send, you need a verified phone number and a configured provider on the workspace; the screen shows a status line for each of those conditions, so you know why a switch you turned on is not sending yet. Push also needs the browser's own notification permission; if the browser blocked it, the screen says so and points at the browser's site settings.
Change a channel and save
Every change is saved together, with one click at the bottom of the screen.
- Open More > Settings > Notifications from navigation.
- In the card for the topic you want to change, click the switch for the channel.
- If you want quiet hours, turn on Turn quiet hours on and set From, Until and a time zone.
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
Quiet hours
During quiet hours, no email or push goes out; in-app notifications keep collecting in the bell as usual, so nothing is lost, only delayed. If the start time is later than the end time, the window crosses midnight and runs until the following morning.
Spørgsmål, der ofte dukker op
- What is the difference between an in-app notification and email?
- In-app always reaches the bell. Email and push are sent in addition to it, and only for the topics and channels you turned on.
- Why is the SMS switch not sending anything even after I turned it on?
- Because sending needs both a verified phone number and a configured SMS provider. The screen shows a status line for each condition so you can see what is missing.
- Do in-app notifications stop during quiet hours?
- No. Only email and push are held back during that window; in-app notifications keep collecting in the bell.
