Marketing teams: two approvals before anything goes live

A campaign in Tasked cannot skip legal because brand already said yes. Brand review and legal review are two separate approval stages, each with its own role, its own 48-hour window and its own rework path back to produce. After both decisions the work sits at a scheduled gate until the publish date is reached, so nothing goes live because someone dragged a card.

Two gates, two owners

The campaign pack runs plan, produce, brand review, legal review, scheduled, live and report. Plan is 72 hours of work. Produce is 96. Brand review is an approval owned by the brand role, 48 hours, rework to produce. Legal review is a second approval owned by the legal role, 48 hours, also rework to produce. They are sequential in the built-in pack: brand first, then legal.

Legal cannot be skipped because brand said yes. A team that wants them in parallel can restructure its own workflow; the built-in pack does not pretend they are the same decision.

  • Brand review: approval, brand role, 48-hour window
  • Legal review: a second approval, legal role, 48-hour window
  • Scheduled to live: a date-reached condition on the transition

The publish gate

Scheduled is a gate stage. The transition to live is labelled go-live date reached and is conditioned on the publish date field. Live then carries a 72-hour window to watch the campaign, and report is done.

That is the same gate type the social content batch pack uses as scheduled to publish. The engine does not care whether the asset is a film, a still or a copy deck.

Approvals from outside the team

A brand owner at the client, an outside counsel, an agency partner: each gets a door with a code, a link, a phone number or an email address. No account. They approve, reject or request changes, and the decision is on the record with a name and a time. Reminders go out on the door's channel before the window lapses.

Inbound Slack, WhatsApp and email can each open a request in the workspace, with the request fields: channel, requested by, reference.

Questions that keep coming up

Can brand and legal approve in parallel?
In the built-in campaign pack they are sequential: brand first, then legal. A team can reorder the stages on its own workflow.
Does the publish gate actually hold the work?
Yes. The transition out of the scheduled stage is conditioned on the publish date being reached.
Can an outside agency approve without a seat?
Yes. Approvers use a door with no account and no per-person charge.
